Officially SEVEN years in our sweet little 1950’s cape cod home and the biggest thing I’ve learned: stop fighting what your home already is. research it, understand it, lean into its characteristics.

the dining room has been getting some slow, intent

the dining room has been getting some slow, intentional edits lately. the rug was first and now the table.
our old table felt bulky and closed off. this one feels the opposite: open, graceful, charming little details. the rounded edge actually gives us space back in this smaller room. it just fits.
slowly editing in here to make this room feel like us. the rug, the table, and maybe some paint next. it’s getting there.

three years of this now. every Mother’s Day morn

three years of this now. every Mother’s Day morning we plant together. this year we’re doing one bed for flowers (to bring into our home) and one for vegetables (to feed our family).
there’s something grounding about working with your hands in the dirt with your kids. something nostalgic about it too. simple and quiet and exactly right.
I hope we’re making traditions they’ll remember forever. 🌱
