Hi! My name is Erin, and probably the last thing I ever thought I’d being doing is starting a blog! Lol. But here I am.. And it’s because I recently came to realize it’s a way to put pen to paper for the creativity I’ve had bottled up for some time now, and share and save moments we have in our first home. When my husband and I bought this house in 2019, it was a whirlwind and I was overwhelmed. There’s a lot of little details you don’t think about until you own a home! And as I dedicated myself to learning everything there was about fixing up and decorating this house– I also realized it was a lot of fun to share my process and ways in which I draw inspiration to create a cozy, happy home.
To give a little more background on me, I grew up in New Jersey. Got a degree in Marketing/ Communications and landed what was a dream job for me out of college at a major fashion brand (that you’ve definitely heard of!). I was there for seven years–learned a lot, traveled a lot and enjoyed the hustle. I was drawn to fashion because of the aesthetics! And working in marketing for a major fashion brand– aesthetics are KEY. I like to think I developed an eye for it during my tenure there. It all came to an end a couple years ago, where eventually I started to feel the corporate burnout (which I hear many people eventually do) and the commute into New York City became too daunting and draining. I took another job in marketing, but much closer to home, to be able to focus more on myself and my family.
I married my high school sweetheart in 2018 :), and we closed on our first home in 2019. We have been best friends for what feels like my whole life and he is the best partner I could ask for! In 2020 when the world shut down, I started this blog as a passion project while I was going through some tough times. It distracted me to pour my heart into our home and share it all along the way. In 2021 we had our daughter, Saylor, who became the center of our universe. And in 2022 we had our (surprise!) son, Rome, who quickly stole our hearts as well. We love our growing family and are soaking up these precious times.
My style is hard to define– I tend to lean into the light/airy look but I hate to box myself in to any one form. I like to pull the best elements from all different styles, tie them together and make spaces that make me and my family feel happy and at ease. Because that’s the point of it all right? Your home should be the best reflection of you and put you in a happy state of mind.
That’s what I plan to share here: inspiration, execution and finding happiness at home. Welcome and I hope you come back to see more.
What paint color did you use on your walls?

How do you edit your photos?
I use the Lightroom app! I originally used downloaded presets but have tweaked them so much that they usually end up pretty different each time. I like to play around with Whites/Blacks/Exposure as well as the Colors.
What are your favorite places to shop for your home?
How do you balance working FT, being a mom to little ones and the blog?
It is a lot harder than what it looks like to you probably! Most times I feel really behind and not on the ball at all lol. But I am getting better, and what helps me most is keeping a running list of To Do’s / checking them off, and coming up with a plan for each day the night before. It keeps me on track to jump on what I need to do for the blog, etc. whenever I have spare moments (usually nap time or bed time!)
Making our backyard into an oasis by hanging string lights and DIY'ing pretty planters to hold them.
