Welcome to my journal

Your home tells your story—I’m here to help you write it beautifully. As a mother and homeowner who once stood where you are now, I understand the overwhelm of blank walls and empty rooms. My passion is transforming houses into homes that honor both heritage and modern life. I share home updates big & small, seasonal inspiration, family recipes, and glimpses into everyday life as a growing family. Through accessible design guidance, practical DIY projects, and honest conversations about creating spaces that work for real families, I hope my story helps you find yours.

the dining room has been getting some slow, intent the dining room has been getting some slow, intentional edits lately. the rug was first and now the table.
our old table felt bulky and closed off. this one feels the opposite: open, graceful, charming little details. the rounded edge actually gives us space back in this smaller room. it just fits.
slowly editing in here to make this room feel like us. the rug, the table, and maybe some paint next. it’s getting there.
comment TABLE and I’ll send your way 🤍

there’s something grounding about working with your hands in the dirt with your kids. something nostalgic about it too. simple and quiet and exactly right.
I hope we’re making traditions they’ll remember forever. 🌱
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms!
We had done a lot to this kitchen.. the paint, the We had done a lot to this kitchen.. the paint, the trim, but this detail was so important. The modern and sleek hardware before just didn’t feel like us.
So we swapped it. $3.50 a piece from Amazon. Antique brass finish. A mix of knobs and bin pulls.
And suddenly the whole kitchen tied together. That old but new feeling, like it had always been this way but better. That’s the jewelry moment every room needs.

Comment JEWELRY and I’ll send you the links to what we used 💛
We could have opened everything up. Instead we lea We could have opened everything up. Instead we leaned into our 1950s layout and let the walls stay. Turns out walls give you something to work with… we added paper, paint, art, shelves, moulding and more. The options are genuinely endless. Our home became more us because of them, not in spite of them.
