Everything Erin

Creating a special home prepared for life’s seasons.

Erin’s Story

Hi! My name is Erin, the creator behind Everything Erin. I started this blog back in 2020 as a way to put pen to paper for the creativity I had bottled up for some time, and a way to share inspiration for others who were navigating similar new home journeys to my own.

When my husband and I bought our first home in 2019, this small, cottage-like cape cod by the shore, it was a whirlwind and I was overwhelmed. There’s a lot of little details you don’t think about until you own a home! And as I dedicated myself to learning everything there was about fixing up and decorating this house– I also realized it was a lot of fun to share my process and ways in which I draw inspiration to create a charming family home.

To give a little more background on me, I grew up in New Jersey. Got a degree in Marketing/ Communications and landed what was a dream job for me out of college at a major fashion brand (that you’ve definitely heard of!). I was there for seven years–learned a lot, traveled a lot and enjoyed the hustle. I was drawn to fashion because of the aesthetics! And working in marketing for a major fashion brand– aesthetics are key. I like to think I developed an eye for it during my tenure there. It all came to an end in 2018, where eventually I started to feel the corporate burnout and the commute into New York City became too daunting and draining. I took another job in marketing, but much closer to home, to be able to focus more on myself and my family.

I married my high school sweetheart in 2018, and we closed on our first home in 2019. We have been best friends for what feels like my whole life and he is the best partner I could ask for! In 2020 when the world shut down, I started this blog as a passion project while I was going through some tough times. It distracted me to pour my heart into our home and share it all along the way. In 2021 we had our daughter, Saylor, who became the center of our universe. And in 2022 we had our (surprise!) son, Rome, who quickly stole our hearts as well. Our son Jett was born in 2025! We love our growing family and are soaking up these precious times.

My style is timeless, yet modern to fit our family’s ever-changing lifestyle. I love neutrals but have been leaning into more patterns and colors. My overall intention is to fill our home with things that make our family feel happy and at ease. Because that’s the point of it all right? Your home should be the best reflection of you and put you in a happy state of mind.

And that’s what I plan to share here: home inspiration, everyday life with littles and finding happiness at home. Welcome and I hope you come back to see more.

I use the Lightroom app! I originally used downloaded presets but have actually scaled back how much editing is applied to my photos for a more realistic view. I tend to play around with whites/blacks/exposure a bit.

I dabbled in it for a little bit before having kids but currently I do not because I don’t have the time! It may be something I revisit in the future 🙂 I’m happy to provide recommendations to others who offer this.

Home magazines/ brand catalogs and a lot of Pinterest. I feel like my Pinterest engine knows what I like by now, ha. See my pin boards here!

It is a lot harder than what it looks like to you probably! Most times I feel really behind and not on the ball at all lol. But I am getting better, and what helps me most is keeping a running list of To Do’s / checking them off, and coming up with a plan for each day the night before. It keeps me on track to jump on what I need to do for the blog, etc. whenever I have spare moments (usually nap time or bed time!)

Let’s work together

Welcome to my new series: The Beautiful Storage Cl Welcome to my new series: The Beautiful Storage Club 🧺🫙✨
I’ll be sharing the storage pieces around our smaller home that are both beautiful and actually functional for real life.

Starting with our new dining room server that hides all the kids’ crafts and books. This has become one of my favorite quietly hardworking pieces in our home 🤍

More pretty + practical pieces coming soon.

A rosemary plant is my go-to way to bring life into the kitchen lately.

Simple > intentional > real life use.
We didn’t replace our 1950s cabinets, we edited We didn’t replace our 1950s cabinets, we edited them instead. 🤍

When we moved in 7 years ago, the kitchen already had great bones: original custom cabinetry, a solid layout, and so much potential for charm. Instead of a full renovation, we slowly layered in warmth and character over time.. one thoughtful update at a time.

From window grids and corbels to cafe curtains, warm paint, new hardware, cabinet trim, and a warm, veiny countertop — none of this happened overnight. These little edits have added up in a big way.

This has been about honoring what the home already had and making it feel like us — not chasing trends or tearing things out that didn’t need to be replaced.

If you’re editing instead of replacing, you’re my people. Save this for future kitchen inspiration and permission to go slow 😊✨
