Creating a special home prepared for life’s seasons.

Erin’s Story

Hi! My name is Erin, the creator behind Everything Erin. I started this blog back in 2020 as a way to put pen to paper for the creativity I had bottled up for some time, and a way to share inspiration for others who were navigating similar new home journeys to my own.

When my husband and I bought our first home in 2019, this small, cottage-like cape cod by the shore, it was a whirlwind and I was overwhelmed. There’s a lot of little details you don’t think about until you own a home! And as I dedicated myself to learning everything there was about fixing up and decorating this house– I also realized it was a lot of fun to share my process and ways in which I draw inspiration to create a charming family home.

To give a little more background on me, I grew up in New Jersey. Got a degree in Marketing/ Communications and landed what was a dream job for me out of college at a major fashion brand (that you’ve definitely heard of!). I was there for seven years–learned a lot, traveled a lot and enjoyed the hustle. I was drawn to fashion because of the aesthetics! And working in marketing for a major fashion brand– aesthetics are key. I like to think I developed an eye for it during my tenure there. It all came to an end in 2018, where eventually I started to feel the corporate burnout and the commute into New York City became too daunting and draining. I took another job in marketing, but much closer to home, to be able to focus more on myself and my family.

I married my high school sweetheart in 2018, and we closed on our first home in 2019. We have been best friends for what feels like my whole life and he is the best partner I could ask for! In 2020 when the world shut down, I started this blog as a passion project while I was going through some tough times. It distracted me to pour my heart into our home and share it all along the way. In 2021 we had our daughter, Saylor, who became the center of our universe. And in 2022 we had our (surprise!) son, Rome, who quickly stole our hearts as well. Our son Jett was born in 2025! We love our growing family and are soaking up these precious times.

My style is timeless, yet modern to fit our family’s ever-changing lifestyle. I love neutrals but have been leaning into more patterns and colors. My overall intention is to fill our home with things that make our family feel happy and at ease. Because that’s the point of it all right? Your home should be the best reflection of you and put you in a happy state of mind.

And that’s what I plan to share here: home inspiration, everyday life with littles and finding happiness at home. Welcome and I hope you come back to see more.

I use the Lightroom app! I originally used downloaded presets but have actually scaled back how much editing is applied to my photos for a more realistic view. I tend to play around with whites/blacks/exposure a bit.

I dabbled in it for a little bit before having kids but currently I do not because I don’t have the time! It may be something I revisit in the future 🙂 I’m happy to provide recommendations to others who offer this.

Home magazines/ brand catalogs and a lot of Pinterest. I feel like my Pinterest engine knows what I like by now, ha. See my pin boards here!

It is a lot harder than what it looks like to you probably! Most times I feel really behind and not on the ball at all lol. But I am getting better, and what helps me most is keeping a running list of To Do’s / checking them off, and coming up with a plan for each day the night before. It keeps me on track to jump on what I need to do for the blog, etc. whenever I have spare moments (usually nap time or bed time!)

Let’s work together

and scrolling through — I think we accomplished and scrolling through — I think we accomplished just that 🥹 December has been the busiest month of my life quite possibly so I haven’t been able to get our new kitchen in shape to photograph so planning to reveal it all after the holidays 🌲 for now, shopping is done, the presents are wrapped, food is (almost) prepared and I am so looking forward to a relaxing & fun holiday. Our first as a family of 5 ! ❤️
I realized the house needed one more charming holi I realized the house needed one more charming holiday touch and we Amazon-shipped this classic Christmas scrapbook paper to make it a moment. Paper chains, imperfect little stars, all the nostalgic storybook feels. Simple, a little messy, and honestly my favorite kind of crafting to do with the kids.

Inspired by @steviemaxine beautiful xmas! ❤️

Comment PAPER for the link, it arrives before Xmas! ✂️ 🎄

the view between rooms is extra special because of the view between rooms is extra special because of it 🌲 with just the tension rod it kept slipping down so I asked handy ChatGPT and their final tip worked!! Cut a piece off our rug gripper and slid it into each side. We’ve had this up since November 1 and it’s STAYED. Will link my shower curtain rod / rug gripper in stories. Share this tip / Save for this or next year ❤️
Fifteen minutes to reset the kids’ room feels a Fifteen minutes to reset the kids’ room feels a lot more doable when the floors are handled for me. Toys back in bins, books stacked, fresh sheets smoothed — and the quiet hum of our robot vacuum taking care of the rest.

The Dreame L50 Ultra brings those pro-level details without the pro-level price.

It’s one of those little systems that makes busy days feel lighter — and keeps their space clean enough for play, rest, and everything in between.

Don’t miss their holiday deal going on now, I’ve added a link in my bio and use code “EVERL50U” for extra 5% off🤍@dreame.usa
